"On the rolls of this microfilm publication are reproduced the pension payment cards maintained by the Bureau of Pensions and Veterans Administration for recording payments made from 1907 to 1933 to members of the Regular Military Establishment. These payment cards are part of Records of the Veterans Administration, Record Group 15...There are approximately two million cards...in this microfilm publication. They have been filmed in alphabetical order by surnameof the Army or Navy invalid or widow, except that cards with Indian names have been filmed alphabetically at the beginning of the respective letter of the alphabet." -- p. ii.
