William Herndon (1649-1722)? immigrated from Kent County, England to New Kent County, Virginia before 1691. He married Catherine Digges in 1677. Their son, Edward (b. 1678) married Mary Waller in 1698. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and New York and later scattered throughout the United States.
