"These master charts were made by the combined efforts of Chase Mooney, Blanche Henry Clark Weaver, and Harriet Chappell Owsley for the purpose of studying land tenure, slavery, and the agricultural economy in sample counties in Tennessee during the late antebellum period. They represent a composite of Schedules I, II, IV of the unpublished Federal Census."
