Alexander Bothwell (d.1811) emigrated in 1792 from Scotland to New Geneva, Pennsylvania, and married Catherine Hogan (Hagen) in 1782. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Kansas, Oklahoma, Idaho, California and elsewhere.
