John Hiett (b.ca.1674), a Quaker, married Mary Smith about 1695, and immigrated about 1699 (with William Penn on his second voyage) from England to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and died after 1726. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, California, Utah, Idaho and elsewhere.

Includes Hinshaw, Hunt, Johnson, Mendenhall, Stanley, Taylor, Brown, Davis, Smith, Williams and related families.
