Accomack County was created in 1663 from Northampton County. From approximately 1670-1673, the court was held for the upper part of Northampton County. This area was probably the county of Accomack.

Contains wills, inventories, appraisements, administrators' or executors' accounts, accounts of sales, etc.

Includes general index. General index indexed originals except when a typescript or photostat was available. Then the typescript or photostat was indexed. Volumes are also individually indexed. It also indexed some records for "DC", "SC", and "CC" which are believed to be records for the District Court, Superior Court, and Circuit Court.
