Elder Jacob Miller, a German Baptist minister, was born in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, in 1735. He migrated to Pennsylvania to Virginia in 1765, where he helped establish the first Church of the Brethern in southwestern Virginia. He moved to Ohio in 1800, and established churches through Ohio and across the line into Indiana. He was the father of twelve children. Descendants listed lived in Indiana and elsewhere.
