"These papers are the result of a search for Garrett information over a period of about thirty years. They contain much miscellaneous information which has been preserved with the hope that it may in some way be helpful to others who are seeking information about the family ..."

Contains research notes; genealogical correspondence; copies of original documents including: Court records, Louisa County, 1732, 1781, mentioning Capt. Henry Garrett, 1781 certificate for advance to Capt. Henry Garret, Adjutant Gen. Washington record of Henry Garrett, 1779 will of William Garrett, 1779 warrent of Henry Garrett for bounty; and copies of Garrett information from printed histories, etc.

Information collected concerns chiefly the Garrett family of Louisa County and elsewhere in Virginia. Though correspondence, also contains some information on their descendants in Kentucky and elsewhere.

Poor copy, difficult to read in places.
