Samuel Thomson was born 13 December 1691 at Blair Manor, Ayshire, Scotland, the son of Samuel Thomson (b. 1667). He was and Ani-baptist and because of persecution went to Wales in 1715 and then immigrated to Virginia in 1717. He married three times. By his first wife (name unknown) he had three children. He married (2) Mary McDonald and had one son. He married (3) Temperance ______ and had five children. He died in Louisa County, Virginia, between 1753 and November 1754.
