Solomon Mace (ca. 1819-1854) of Pike County, Missouri married Clara Sutton (d. ca. 1845) in 1839 in Boone County, Missouri; in 1851 he married America Sutton Mellon, widow of Jefferson Mellon, this second marriage also taking place in Boone County. Solomon was probably a son of Job Mase/Mace and Ester Moler, who had come to Pike County from Bourbon County, Kentucky in 1819 or 1820.
