Asby Poole (1787/1788-1867) married Vilender Lanham in 1815 at Morgantown, Virginia (later West Virginia). He was a Methodist Episcopal minister, and also a local businessman with real estate interests. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, West Vir- ginia, Pennsylvania, Iowa, North Dakota and elsewhere. Includes some ancestors to the early 1700s in Virginia, Maryland and elsewhere.

Includes Beall, Donley, Ferguson, Hughes, McClure, McRa, Morgan, Shoemaker and related families.
