William Campbell Henderson (1829-1912), was born in Russell Co., Va., and died at Hazel Springs, Washington Co., Va. He was the son of Thomas Henderson and Helen Ley of the Parish of Kinneff & Catterline, Kincardine, Scotland. He married Elizabeth Helton (ca. 1835-1907) 1859 in Washington Co., Va. She was the daughter of Reuben and Nancy Burnett Helton. They were the parents of seven children, who were born between 1860 and 1874.
