John Blake Sr. (1766-1836) son of William Blake of Elbert Co., Georgia married Martha Moon ca. 1789. In about 1815 they moved to eastern Tennessee in the area of Bledsoe, Warren and McMinn counties. Later they moved to their permanent settlement in Bibb Co., Alabama. Descendants lived in Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma and elsewhere.
