Cubbard Tisdale was born in 1750 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He was a private in the Revolutionary War, 1776-1781, serving from Mecklenburg, Virginia. He and his wife, Martha, were married in 1781. They migrated to Daviess County, Indiana, after 1824. He died in Daviess County in 1838. Most descendants listed lived lived in Indiana.
