William Ritchey was probably born in Ireland. He died Dec. 1794 in Bourbon Co., Kentucky. His wife's name was Charity. They had five children. 1. Abraham Ritchey, born 1737 probably in Pennsylvania. He served in American revolution in 1782. 2. Isaac Ritchey, born in Pennsylvania, married Rebecca Powers (1757-1861). She was part Cherokee Indian. 3. William Ritchey. 4. John Ritchey. 5. Gilbert Ritchey, born 1758 in Pennsylvania, died 1854 in Milroy, Indiana. He is buried in Rader Cemetery, Orange Twp., Rush Co., Indiana. He was also a revolutionary soldier. Descendants live in Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
