Notes

Robert Smith was born ca. 1610 in England. He settled in Northumberland County, Virginia (later Westmoreland County). He died between October 1675 and May 1676. He had at least four children : William, John or Jonathan, Robert, and Nicholas. Some sources indicate two more children by the names of Abraham and Sarah.

Descendants are located in Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama
