The library has the volumes which correlate with this index. See entry in the Author/Title catalog: Lu, Helen M. (Helen Mason). Revolutionary War period : bible, family & marriage records gleaned from pension applications.

"Volumes 1-10 were abstracted from the Revolutionary War Pension Applications on National Archives microfilm (M805) alphabetically arranged by the name of the soldier. This index contains approximately 50,000 names of family members mentioned in the family records of those soldiers as submitted by the widows or heirs of the soldiers while applying for a pension or bounty land. Surnames of the family members range from A through Z. A name may appear on a page more than once. Many names were spelled as they sounded to the recorder; therefore, various spellings should be checked. Surnames may be spelled differently within one family or Bible record. Names were copied as they appeared; no attempt was made to spell them 'correctly' other than an occasional editorial clarification. Each entry contains references to both the volume and a page number"--Explanation, p. 1.
