Adam Dunlap Sr. of Scotch-Irish descent was probably born in the United States ca. 1735. He married Elizabeth (surname unknown) prior to 1763. They lived in Tennessee and were the parents of at least six known children. Adam died 1796 in Blount Co., Tennessee. Descendants lived primarily in Tennessee, Illinois and elsewhere.
