Issac Osmun (Osmund) Sr. died in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, in 1749, leaving his wife, Sarah, and six children. His great great grandson, Jabez Osman, son of Charles Osman (b. 1761), a Revolutionary War soldier, was born in Hampshire County, West Virginia, in 1788. He married Mary Baker in Adams County, Ohio, in 1810. They were living in Daviess County, Indiana, by 1816.

Includes other early Osmans in England, New England, and New York.
