Jeremiah Bane (or Banes) was born 25 January 1825 in Orange Co., North Carolina. He was the son of George Baines (born ca. 1794) and Nancy Cook. Jeremiah married Sarah Davis 19 September 1846 in Giles Co., Virginia. They lived in Virginia and were the parents of six children. Descendants lived primarily in Virginia and Florida.
