Notes

Originally the records were kept by the Registrar of Titles, this office and its' functions were transferred to the Lands & Titles Division of the High Court.

Includes claims of succession to Matai title, affidavits supporting the claims, and certificates permitting the usage of the title.

Arranged by districts, then by villages.

The Matai name was the name taken by the head of the clan after election; it entitled the clan chief to act in behlf of the clan and to control and administer the communally owned property.

Includes some indexes.

Text in English and Samoan.
