Microfilm made of manuscript collection (ca.650 leaves) prepared and loaned by Charlene Towsley, Topeka, Kansas.

Aaron Richards (d.1818) emigrated from Ireland to Adair (later Russell) County, Kentucky. William Davidson I, with his wife and three children, emigrated in 1649 from Scotland to Somerset County, Maryland, where William Davidson II and later children were born. Valentine Johnson emigrated from England (via Holland, where he married Ann) to Orange County, Virginia; his brother Thomas settled in Maryland; both were sons of James Johnson II (b.1650) of England. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Kansas, Wisconsin and elsewhere. Other ancestors and relatives of the author lived in Kansas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Delaware, New England and elsewhere. Some ancestors to about 1550 A.D. lived in England.

Includes photocopies of many documents (wills, military service papers, Bible records, newspaper clippings, correspondence, etc.).
