Ellen Graham Conduff (1910-1985) was born at Draper, Virginia, the daughter of Simon Peter Conduff, M.D. (1873-1929) and Gerturde Menafee Alexander Conduff (1879-1929). She married Beverly von Haller Gilmer in 1934. They had one daughter born in 1941. Beverly von Haller Gilmer was born at Draper, Virginia. He was a professor of applied psyhology at Carnegie Mellon University and Virginia Tech.
