"This book is a Family History Library guide to helping you use the 1910 federal censuses for states that have no microfilm soundex or miracode indexes. These states and territories include: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Military/Naval."

"This book is arranged by state and then by the name of cities, towns, and villages. Look for the place where your ancestor lived on April 15, 1910. Cities are further divided into wards or election districts. There are columns for the name of the county, the census enumeration district numbers, and the Family History Library microfilm call numbers. The enumeration district was the area assigned to a single census taker. It may have been as large as a county or as small as part of a city block, depending on the density of the population"--Introd.
