Descendants of Friedrich (Fritz) Wald, born between 1800-1810 in Beder- kesa, Germany, and died 1865 in Walhalla, South Carolina. He married Anna Catharina (Catrina) Busch (b. 1816) 1842 in Charleston, South Carolina. She was born in Drangstedt, Germany to Carsten Busch and Anna Elisabeth Heins. They had four children born in Charleston and Walhalla, S.C. Descendants live in South Carolina, Connecticut, Georgia, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Includes Wald/Waldt and related families of Brücke, Busch, Hawkins, Satterfield etc.
