Stephen Turner arrived in American from England/Scotland as an adult in 1750. He is first found in Albermarle County, Virginia, in May 1750, he bought 248 acres of land on the north side of the Fluvanna River. Record chiefly follows line of the author, descent to Eldrige Hoyle Turner. He was born 1919 at Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Eldrige Turner (1892-1971) and Alice Kingsley Hoyle Turner (1899- 1968). He married Dorothy Williams in 1947. They had two children 1953-1958, born at Atlanta, Georgia.
