Jacob Harman was born 1785 and died 1824 in Whitley Co. Ky. He was married to Mary Shelly prior to 1808. Mary was born 1787 in North Carolina and died 1852 in Whitley Co., Ky. Mary was the daughter of Jeremiah and Jane Benson Shelly. They were parents of ten children. Jeremiah Shelly (ca. 1750-1803) was the son of John and Elizabeth Shelly, Sr. of Guilford Co., North Carolina. Family members live in Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Ohio and elsewhere.
