Johan Nicholas Dek (1695-?) was born in Germany and immigrated to America where he settled in Pennsylvania. He married Anna Barbara in 1723 and they were the parents of five children. Some descendants moved to Augusta Co., Virginia and later Greene Co., Tennessee. The Dyche family married into the Churchman, O'Malley, Curtis and Still families. Descendants live in Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and other midwestern states.
