Supplement no. 1 to work entitled: The Burchinal genealogy 1671-1984 : Thomas Burtchnell of Cecil County, Maryland and his son Jeremiah Burchinal ("Jeremy") of Mount Harmon, Kent County, Maryland and their descendants / by Beryl Modest Burchinal and Martin Luther Burchinal. Pittsburgh, Pa. : B.M. Burchinal, 1984.

The first 36 p. of this supplement no. 1 contain additions and corrections to the original publication mentioned above. "The pages that follow will be devoted to miscellaneous subjects which are of so much importance to the family they must be included."--(P. [37]). The author states that consideration of known facts make it "... plausible to assume that the Burchinal settler, who may have been the grandfather of Jeremiah [and therefore the father of Thomas], was among the Virginia colonists who came to Kent Island in 1631/32--108 years before Jeremiah became proprietor of 'Mt. Harmon'"--(P. 116). This supplement also includes reports of the first and second Burchinal family reunions held in 1927 and 1928.

Includes indexes (listing Burchenal, Burchnal and other variant spellings).

Includes Conn, Gans, Hertzog, Litman, Lyons, Morris and related families.

Also available on microfilm and digital images.
