Isaac Elmore, probably a son of Stephen Elmore, and a grandson of Mathias Elmore (d. 1768), was probably born in the 1760's. He purchased land in Newberry County, South Carolina, in 1788; and in Warren County, Ohio, in 1807 and 1808, and homesteaded land in Daviess County, Indiana, in 1818, where Issac, his wife, Mary, and seven children were received into Blue River Montly Meeting, in 1822. He died in Daviess County, Indiana, in 1830. Descendants listed lived in Indiana, Missouri, California and elsewhere.
