Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of John Sullivant. He was born in 1640 in Ireland. He immigrated to Princess Ann County, Virginia 24 Oct 1655. He married Mary Hayes, daughter of Owen Hayes. They were the parents of six children. He died Jul 1698. Descendants lived in Virginia, Alabama, South Carolina, and elsewhere.

Ancestors include: Owen-Donel O'Sullivan (b. aft. 1599) and Jo-Ann Elizabeth Brown -- Thomas Brown -- John Brown -- Owen O'Sullivan (d. 1616) and Helena Butler -- Pierce Butler -- Sir Owen (Eoghan) O'Sullivan (d. 1594) and Helena Barry -- James, Lord Barry, Fitz Richard Barry Roe and Ellen -- Cormac na hory MacCarthy Reagh -- Dermod O'Sullivan and Lady Julia MacCarthy -- and others.
