Edmond Bingham (1774-1852) was born in Virginia, probably the son of Thomas Bingham. He married Lucy Bays (1774-1857), daughter of John and Viceny Lavicy Bays, in 1795 in Pittsylvania, Virginia. They had seven children, 1792-1805. The family migrated to Surry County, North Carolina, ca. 1822 and to Greene County, Indiana, ca. 1829. Descendants lived in Indiana, Illinois, Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa and elsewhere.
