Chiefly a record of the life of John Wilson. He was born ca. 16 Mar 1787 probably in Buckingham County, Virginia. He married Sally Byrd 30 Oct 1810 in the Louisiana Territory. She was the daughter of Amos Byrd and Ann Gillespie. She died during the fall or winter, 1844-1845. They were the parents of at least twelve children. He remarried 21 Aug 1845 to Emily Brown. Emily was born 7 Oct 1819 in Tennessee, to John Brown and Elizabeth McCreary. He died 11 Sep 1864 in Dallas County, Texas. She died 6 Mar 1900. They were the parents of six children.
