Microfilmed from original records at the Utah State Archives, State Capitol Building, Salt Lake City. These records were subsequently microfilmed by the State Archives in 1990 and the originals were destroyed.

Index lists name, war served in, county, city, and cemetery of burial.

Record may give name, rank, serial or pension number, organization (military unit) served in and branch of military, period of service (specifies a specific war or list "peacetime"), date of enlistment and discharge, date and place of birth, date and place of death, place of burial given indicating the county, city, cemetery, and lot. Sometimes gives the next of kin, their address relationship to the veteran.
