William Stewart (1758/1759-1834), of Scottish lineage, immigrated from Ireland to Baltimore, Maryland about 1787, married twice, and moved about 1791 to Sequatchie Valley, Tennessee. Descendants and relatives lived in Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, Virginia and elsewhere.
