Chiefly, a record of eleven generations of descendants of George Barber who was born in England. He married Elizabeth and they had three children. George Barber died in 1745 in Augusta, County, Virginia. George and Elizabeth's first son was also George Barber who was born in 1743 in Augusta County, Virginia. He married Margaret Watkins about 1767 in Bedford County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Robert Watkins and Margaret Williams. They had fourteen children. George Jr. was a Revolutionary War soldier. He died in Oglethorpe County, Georgia in 1822. Descendants lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and elsewhere.
