Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Jonas Phillips who was born ca. 1824 in Hawkins Co., Tennessee. He married Sarah Sally Sutton (daughter of Cornelius Sutton and Mary Jenkins) sometime prior to the year 1846 in Tennessee. They lived in Cocke Co., Tennessee and were the parents of fourteen children. Descendants lived in Tennessee, North Carolina, Ohio, Louisiana and elsewhere.
