N. K. Nihipali was born in Hawaii. He served several special missions in Hawaii for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1883-1897.

Contains 3 vol. of missionary journals which note N. K. Nihipali's missionary experiences, including names of companions, names of those taught, baptized, married or buried under the officiating of Mr. Nihipali or his companions; a chronology of Hawaiian history (1555- 1887); the descendancy of Wakea to Napela; notes of the organization of districts and membership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the Island of Kauai (districts: Koloa, Hapauni, Hulaia, Makaweli, Waimea, Kekaha, Niihau, Wahiawa, Hanapepe, Waiole, Kaena, Kalihiwai, Lihui, Kapaia, Kealia, and Papaa). Also includes He mau kuhikuhi pili euanelio (1904?), by Lewis K. Kelsch [sic]-the Hawaiian language edition of A practical reference to scriptural passages on the doctrines of the gospel by Louis A. Kelsch.
