Ancestry traced to Robert Tillotson who was born in 1590 in England and married Mary Dobson. His descendant, John Tillotson, immigrated to Chesterfield County, Virginia in the mid 1730's from Ireland. He was married to Elizabeth Murray. Descendants lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas, California, and elsewhere. One descendant, Varnie Mastin was born in 1898 in Collin County, Texas and married Julia Leo Marshall in 1925.
