Dr. Bezer (Bozer) Snell (1797-1871) was born at Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the son of Capt. Elijah and Abigail G. Copeland Snell. He married Hope J. Wood (1800-after 1870) at Winthrop, Maine, in 1822. They had two children, 1823-1825, born in Charlotte County, Virginia. He died in Appomatox County, Virginia.

Noble Snell (1798-1871) was born at Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the son of Capt. Elijah and Abigail G. Copeland Snell. His family was living in Maine by 1801. He moved in Charlotte County, Virginia, in 1818 and married Sarah J. Wheeler there in 1842. They had two children, 1843-1845, born in Charlotte County and Appomatox County, Virginia. He died in Appoxmatox County, Virginia.
