Includes descendants of several different Gann families. Many are descendants of Samuel Gann and his wife, Elizabeth. Samuel died before 1762 in Frederick County, Virginia. Elizabeth died after 1762 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. Early descendants lived North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Texas and elsewhere and then spread throughout the U.S.

Includes Massingill, Moore, Vernon, Ghan, and related families.
