William Whiteside was born circa. 1710 in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. He married Elizabeth Stockton (b. 1715), daughter of Davis and Sarah Stockton, around 1740 in Albemarle County, Virginia. William died circa. October 1777 in the Whiteside Settlement, Golden Valley Township, Rutherford, North Carolina. Descendants lived mainly in Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee and Missouri.
