John Hyde, son of John Hyde, emigrated from England in 1732/33 and settled in New York City. He married Johanna Bennet, daughter of Robert Bennet and Johanna Stone, in 1738. They had four children. John enlisted in the army in 1750 and was never heard from again. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York. Includes McCrady and related families.
