William Wilson (ca. 1750-ca. 1823) was born in Augusta County, Virginia, probably the youngest of the eight children of Robert Wilson, who probably migrated to Virginia from Pennsylvania. He married Catharine Yancy before 1790 at Charleston, South Carolina. They had six children, 1790-1807, born in Tennessee and Augusta County, Virginia. William and Catharine Wilson, with three of their sons migrated to Saline County, Missouri, ca. 1720. Another son migrated there in 1730. Descendants listed lived in Missouri, California, and elsewhere.
