William Jefferson Wright (1848-1928) was born near Sardis in Panola County, Mississippi, the son of Leroy Clay Wright (1820-1905) and Margaret Maude Rayburn Wright (1824-1903). His father migrated to Gonzales County, Texas, in 1851 and the family followed about three years later. He married Mary Catherine Clary (1851-1906), daughter of Francis Marion Clary (1822-1899) and Elizabeth Ann Conn Clary (1821-1878), in 1868 in Gonzales County. They had six children, 1869-1887. The family moved to Navarro County, Texas, ca. 1870. After Mary Catherine's death, he married 2) Mary Fuller in 1905. She died in child birth. He married 3) Mary Spivey Allen, a widow with two sons in 1911. They had a son born in 1913. He and his three wives are buried in the Judson Cemetery, Cayuga, Texas. Descendants live in Texas, Oklahoma, California, Oregon, Louisiana and elsewhere.

Also includes pedigree charts showing the ancestors of William Jefferson and Mary Catherine Clary Wright. Ancestors include: Robert Wright (ca. 1736-1831) of Orange County, Virginia; and Greene County, Georgia -- Henry Rayburn (ca. 1720-1792) of Northern Ireland and Montgomery County, Virginia -- John Clary (b. ca. 1660) of Virginia and Maryland -- Rev. Hugh Conn (1685-1752) of Macgillan, Ireland; and Baltimore County, Maryland.
