Contains a listing of Norfolk County records, 1646-1868, in the Archives Division of the Virginia State Library and Lower Norfolk County records, wills and deeds C, 1651-1654.

Lower Norfolk County was divided into Norfolk and Princess Anne counties in 1691. Norfolk County became extinct when it merged with the city of South Norfolk to form the city of Chesapeake in 1963. In the same year, Princess Anne County became extinct when it consolidated with the city of Virginia Beach.
