Ancestors of Margaret Anne Capehart (b. 1939), daughter of Leroy Simpson Capehart (1892-1953) born in Merry Hill, N.C. and Mary Fairice Smith (1895-1977) born in Norfolk Co., Va. The Capeharts settled in Bertie County, North Carolina as early as in 1744. The Smiths lived in Norfolk Co., Va. in the early 1700s.
