John Herring, parents not listed, born about 1620 in England, immigrated to Virginia about 1641. His wife is not known. He had a son, Anthony, born about 1648 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. His descendants have lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and other areas throughout the United States.
