Walker Howard Rucker (1865-1921), who was born in Amherst, Virginia, to Ambrose Rucker and Martha Jane Walker. He was the descendant of German Huguenot Peter Rucker and his wifeElizabeth Fielding, who immigrated to Virginia ca. 1720, and established their family mainly in Virginia and West Virginia in the 1700-1800's. Five generations later, Walker Howard Rucker married Cora Witten (1872-1913) in 1890, and had twelve children. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Manitoba (Canada), in South Korea, and in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North and South Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Washington D.C. Represented are the direct lines five generations before, and five generations after Walker Howard Rucker.
