Richard Towner (ca. 1650/1655-1727) emigrated from England to Guilford, Connecticut about 1686, and moved to Branford, Connecticut about 1689. Descendants and relatives lived in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio, Missouri, Wisconsin, Kansas, Iowa, Oregon, Illinois, California, Kentucky, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Washington, New Hampshire, Canada and elsewhere.
